As many of you have heard, this year we will not be seeing the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 series. Instead, Samsung has been said to be planning at least two new foldable phones in the form of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Now it seems that the latest reports are claiming that we might be able to expect both devices this August.

This is according to a report from Korean publication DigitalDailyNews who claims to have “confirmed” the date with Samsung, where apparently the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on the 11th of August. Samsung themselves have yet to officially confirm the event themselves, but based on the company’s previous statement of a late summer launch, it’s not entirely out of the question.

Now, apart from the two foldable phones, we’re not sure what else Samsung could be planning for the event. It is possible that based on the latest rumors that we could see the launch of the Galaxy Buds 2, as well as a new smartwatch with the Galaxy Watch 4, but other than that we think that this could be it.

The report also goes on to claim that Samsung will be streaming the event through YouTube, but whether or not it will be a virtual event like we’ve been seeing so far or if Samsung could host it in person remains to be seen. If the 11th of August date is true, we should be able to expect an official announcement in the coming weeks.
