The rumors have all been saying that Apple will be hosting another event in October where they will be announcing new MacBook Pro laptops. It turns out the rumors could be right because Apple has since confirmed that they will be holding an event on the 18th of October which they’re calling “Unleashed”.

The company did not exactly say what will be announced, but if the rumors are to be believed, we could be looking at both a 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro equipped with an updated M1 chipset that will come in the form of the M1X. There have been rumors that Apple could also introduce a new and updated Mac mini with more ports and a faster processor, so we’ll have to wait and see if that’s part of the plan as well.

This is actually quite exciting and something to look forward to. This is because Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro is the more powerful out of the two models the company currently offers. The 13-inch MacBook Pro was refreshed last year with the M1 chipset, so it’ll be interesting to see how the M1X holds up and how much more powerful it could be and if it is powerful enough for professionals.

Apple is expected to take about 2 years to complete their transition to its new Apple Silicon chipsets, so once the larger MacBook Pro is announced, we’re essentially left with the 27-inch iMac and the Mac Pro that haven’t been updated to the Apple Silicon yet.
