Just a few days ago, Samsung announced that they would be hosting an event on the 20th of October. Given that Apple has an event planned for the 18th, Google on the 19th, it seemed like Samsung was hoping to steal some of the spotlight, but as it turns out maybe the company’s event could be a little disappointing.

In a teaser video that the company has released, it seems that this event could simply see the company reveal new color options for its foldables. The video itself is titled “Get ready to unfold something unmistakably you”, suggesting that this has something to do with foldables and customization.

The video itself also shows a bunch of cute little aliens working on a computer screen showing off different color palettes, which once again has led to speculation that the event will be mostly about showing off new colors for its phone. We’re not sure if new color options really warranted an event of its own,  but we suppose that’s Samsung’s prerogative.

Either way, we should have more details next week so check back with us on the 20th of October for the updates on what Samsung will be announcing, but until then, maybe don’t get your hopes up at seeing or hearing anything major.
