Verizon And Bang & Olufsen Debut Soundbar With Android TV

While audiophiles and purists might prefer more traditional hi-fi speaker setups for their entertainment systems, sometimes a soundbar might be more practical. They take up less space and if you have a smaller living room or bedroom, they’re usually more than enough to fill it up.

If you do prefer a soundbar setup, then you might be interested to learn that Verizon and Bang & Olufsen have teamed up for the Stream TV Soundbar and Stream TV Soundbar Pro. What so special about these soundbars is that they are more than just a speaker system and actually come with Android TV built into it.

This means that if you prefer using Android TV over other smart TV platforms, all you need to do is connect this soundbar to your TV and you’ll be able to access Android TV right out of the box. Interestingly enough they aren’t particularly expensive either, at least not B&O expensive. The soundbar is priced starting at $400 which comes with 5 speakers and two HDMI ports and is tuned by B&O.

The more expensive Pro model will set you back $1,000 and will feature 9 speakers, a third HDMI port, and a specially designed B&O sound profile. They will run on Verizon’s Stream TV and will offer features like Chromecast support and access to the Google Play Store. Both soundbars are available for order exclusively through Verizon, so head on over if you’re interested.
