One of the biggest changes Samsung made to its Galaxy S22 series is that with the Ultra model, Samsung actually introduced a dedicated S Pen slot, essentially making it a replacement for the company’s famed Note series.

Now according to a report out of Korea from The Elec, Samsung could be applying that to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. While nothing has been confirmed yet, it is largely expected that Samsung will be announcing a new Galaxy Z Fold handset later this year, and the report claims that a dedicated S Pen slot will be one of the changes we can expect.

However, it seems that the S Pen slot is pretty much the only design change we can look forward to. The report suggests that for the most part, the exterior of the phone and its dimensions will remain the same as its predecessor.

The report suggests that the interior foldable display will measure 7.56-inches, which is actually marginally bigger than its predecessor, while the external display will measure 6.19-inches, which is actually 0.01-inches smaller than the previous model, so by and large it should be pretty much the same phone.

Of course, most of the changes will probably be in the internals where the phone will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200, but we’ll have to wait for the announcement for the official details.
