Last week, it was rumored that Apple is working on a new external display, one that could have an even higher resolution than the current Pro Display XDR. We were wondering when the device could be unveiled, but it seems that we won’t have to wait too long, according to Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter.

According to Gurman’s latest newsletter, he suggests that Apple could actually  unveil this new display at their March 8 event. In a way this makes sense because the tagline for the event is “Peek Performance”, and since “peek” has to do with our eyes, a new 7K display actually seems like a very real possibility.

It is interesting if this turns out to be true because for the most part, the event was speculated to be focused on devices like the iPhone SE 5G and new Mac computers, not a new display, but it actually makes a lot of sense now. That being said, we have to wonder if this could also see Apple unveil their rumored cheaper display.

Either way, if you’re looking for a new display and want something that will fit the rest of your Mac setup, then perhaps this could be something to look forward to, so check back with us on the 8th of March for all the official details.
