Stubs A-List is AMC’s MoviePass competitor and it has seen considerable growth in recent months. It was launched in June and now has more than 500,000 members. Those members will have to pay a bit more for the service as AMC has confirmed that it’s going to raise the price of a Stubs A-List subscription next year.
According to a new report, AMC Networks is developing its very own ad-free online TV streaming service that will be aimed at particularly its millennial TV subscribers. It’s reportedly going to be different from the similar options that we’ve seen from HBO and CBS because AMC’s online streaming service would only be available to those who subscribe to a cable TV package.
A couple of days ago, AMC made a rather controversial statement in which the company mulled the idea of allowing texting in cinemas. While some cinemas do ban it outright, there are others that don’t, presumably relying on people to act appropriately during such situations, but AMC wanted to explicitly allow it.
