LG is expected to launch its mobile payments service called LG Pay in the United States by June this year. The company launched this service for the LG G6 in South Korea last year after having confirmed a few months earlier that it was working on its own mobile payments service. It’s similar in the way it functions to Samsung Pay.

With Apple launching the iPhone X with Face ID, the rumor mill has been churning out rumor after rumor suggesting that many Android OEMs are looking to include similar technology in their devices as well. In fact it seems that LG could be exploring something similar, thanks to a recently discovered patent by the folks at LetsGoDigital.
According to the rumors, Samsung is said to be planning an early launch of the Galaxy S9, possibly some time in January which is also when CES is taking place. However it seems that Samsung’s rival, LG, has no interest in letting the company steal all the spotlight because according to a report from Business Korea, the LG G7 could be launched in January as well.

Another report out of South Korea claims that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S9 in January.
A lot has already been rumored about the LG V30. It’s going to be the company’s second flagship smartphone for 2017 and many expect it to perform better in the market than the LG G6 did. While LG hasn’t said anything about this device so far, if a new report is to be believed, the company is going to launch this smartphone ahead of schedule.
Earlier this year, LG launched its flagship LG G6 smartphone. The company tried to get ahead of the competition, such as Samsung, but it seems that in the process they might have been forced to use 2016’s Snapdragon 821 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 835, but that’s something they won’t be repeating next year.
