LG Corporation is a South Korean conglomerate that is based in Seoul. LG operates a number of subsidiaries including LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Telecom, and LG Chem. The conglomerate specializes in developing electronics, telecom products, and chemicals. LG Corp. was founded in 1947 by Koo In-Hwoi. Koo first established Lak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. in 1947. Today, Lak-Hui (pronounced lucky) is known as LG Chem. The company then expanded its business and created Goldstar Co. Ltd, now known as LG Electronics Inc. Both companies merged and formed Lucky-Goldstar, which was eventually renamed “LG” in 1995.

Under the moto “Play”, LG has launched a series of really interesting companion devices along its LG G5 high-end phone. One of my favorites is the LG Rolling Bot, a spherical-shaped robot that can stay home and act as a surveillance robot, or “care” for your pets, according to LG.

Clean LG G5 Press Rendering Leaked
So far when it comes to leaks about the LG G5, we’ve seen partial shots and we’ve also seen covered up shots where the phone is spotted inside a case. However if you are curious as to how the LG G5 will look like, Evan Blass has decided to oblige us with a press rendering of the phone that you can see in the image to the right.

LG G5 ‘Magic Slot’ Battery Module Spotted
The rumors have been suggesting that with the LG G5, we can expect a feature of the phone called the Magic Slot. Basically this is a slot where users can pop in and out various modules for the phone. We have heard the possibility that camera grip battery module is one of them, and another is a DAC built together with Bang & Olufsen, whose partnership LG has recently confirmed.

According to the rumors, one of the features of the LG G5 is its Magic Slot. This is basically a slot where users will be able to swap out and add new components. One of those alleged components we learnt about is a DAC that will improve the audio quality coming from the phone, as well as improving audio quality when headphones are plugged into it.
