Nokia E55 Has a Talent for Email

It is as email savvy as the Nokia E75, but the Nokia E55 is much lighter, thanks to the absence of a full keyboard. Instead, Nokia has chosen to go with the slightly extended numeric pad (like the Blackberry Pearl) where each key can access two alphabetical letters. The form-factor is quite elegant, although the design is not edgy, but so far the only real criticism that we have is about the display: 320×240 is low and should be extinct by now, especially when a phone is expected to cost around 470 Euros (unlocked).

Here is what we said about the same Email capabilities on the E75: “It is compatible with virtually all the popular online email services (Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, Pop, IMAP), but also the enterprise ones (Exchange and Lotus). Several email account will be supported simultaneously and your account can even be split into a Business or Personal screen.”
