Acer offers new S1 series of LED monitors

LCD monitors are old hat by now, and LED monitors are the way forward. Acer knows this and aims to cater to those who want to purchase a new monitor by rolling out its S1 series that are relatively slim, measuring anywhere between 13mm and 15mm in terms of thickness. Available in 20″, 21.5″ and 23″ sizes, all three will deliver white LED backlighting, an Energy Star 5.0 sticker (whether it actually helps you save energy or not is another matter altogether), a whopping 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 250 nits of brightness and 16.7m colors. Both the 21.5″ and 23″ models will feature native 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, alongside VGA, DVI and HDMI connectivity.
