Sharp expands AQUOS Quattron 3D family

Sharp seems to have a good thing going on with its AQUOS Quattron range of consumer electronics, and has just expanded their Quattron 3D family with a couple of models – the 52-inch LC-52LB3 and 46-inch LC-46LB3 which will feature a built-in Blu-ray recorder, boasting 1080p panels and integrated TV tuners. The Blu-ray drive will be of the slot-loading variety for less mechanical movements on the outside, where it will not only play back your regular Blu-ray discs, but it is also capable of burning your favorite shows on BDXL media. No idea on pricing, but expect them to hit the Japanese market sometime later this November. Chances are they won’t come cheap though. [Press Release]
