onda v792You know when you have a device with a processor name “Allwinner”, you will not be able to go wrong. Chinese tablet manufacturer Onda has lifted the veil on one of the first tablets that will come with Allwinner’s spanking new quad-core processor, where the Onda V972 is powered by an Allwinner A31 processor that will carry four ARM Cortex-A7 cores. In addition, this particular tablet will also boast of PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics that support HD video, 3D graphics, and high pixel displays, which ain’t too shabby at all considering how the Onda V972 will come with a 9.7” screen at 2048 x 1536 pixels – placing it under the Retina Display category.

Other hardware specifications point toward 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, cameras in front and at the back, and an aluminum case. Oh yeah, at least they are kind enough to throw in a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, now how about that? Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the operating system of choice, although you can look out for the Android 4.2 update in due time.
