12/19/2011, The Fusion Garage Grid10 tablet was announced a few months ago and scheduled to ship out a couple of months after that. But we’re reaching the end of the year and according to reports online, it looks like quite a number of customers who have ordered the Grid10 have yet to receive them. Now Fusion Garage seems to have stopped all communications on Twitter and Facebook. Even the PR agency […]
09/26/2011, Back in August, we reported on Fusion Garage’s Grid 4 smartphone along with the Grid 10 tablet. The phone was slated for a release in Q4 this year, but it was recently spotted at the FCC, which seems to suggest that perhaps we may not have to wait that long before we are able to get our hands on the device.
09/12/2011, Hey, guess what? Fusion Garage’s Grid10 tablet has just gotten cheaper by two HP TouchPads. Yes sir, you can now quantify each Benjamin for a HP TouchPad, getting $1 back in change to boot before taxes. It seems that Fusion Garage decided to take a page out of HP’s book by dropping the price of their Grid10 tablet by a cool $200 in an effort to spur sales – and […]
08/23/2011, Remember the unveiling of TabCo tablet last week which turned out to be the Grid10 tablet from Fusion Garage? Unfortunately while we couldn’t make it to the tablet hands-on event, other sites like CNET managed to, and have published their first impressions and shared a video and some photographs of the tablet. The all-new GridOS looks like it could have been an overlay placed on Honeycomb, so Android users should […]
08/15/2011, Finally, the day of unveiling has arrived. If you remember last week, we reported about the official launch of the TabCo tablet this morning, and just like they promised, the tablet was unveiled. So, did the tablet live up to all the hype it was generating? Well, I’ll leave that up to you to decide. For starters, TabCo has turned out to be a company named Fusion Garage. Just in […]
08/11/2011, Here is some food for thought – do you think that TabCo, who recently announced a tablet launch, might actually be Fusion Garage in proxy, with the tablet in question being the JooJoo 2? Granted, the original JooJoo was a flip, but that doesn’t mean the spirit of entrepreneurship should just die off and one throw in the towel, right? The new Grid 10 tablet from Fusion Garage recently passed […]
07/29/2011, If at first you don’t succeed, try again – that seems to be the mantra that Fusion Garage has taken with their JooJoo 2 tablet, where it has received FCC approval – slightly more than half a year after Fusion Garage drove the nail into the original JooJoo’s coffin. Scant details are available as at press time, although the FCC label ID drawing does point toward a tablet-sized device for […]
11/11/2010, The JooJoo tablet could be said to be the Newton of the 21st century, as this tablet device never really took off the way Fusion Garage wanted it to, just like how the Newton PDA from Apple had some hype but failed miserably as Palm’s range of PDAs took the world by storm back in the last decade. Fusion Garage founder Chandrashekar Rathakrishnan mentioned that the move to pull the […]
04/30/2010, With the iPad 3Gs starting to arrive at users’ doorsteps, Fusion Garage’s JooJoo tablet is busy playing catch up, and now its CEO has confirmed that they are planning to launch a 3G version of the tablet, which should be released in about three month’s time. Aside from that, there is welcome news that they are also planning to unlock the USB port, allowing you to plug in your USB storage […]
04/23/2010, Do you remember the tidbit that Fusion Garage, the folks behind the JooJoo Tablet, only managed to get 90 pre-orders? Well, according to an email boo boo that they just made, it seems they only managed to turn 64 of those pre-orders into sales. Fusion Garage sent out an email to all 64 of its customers, asking for feedback on the product, which is good, but the bad part is […]
02/26/2010, We published earlier this month that the JooJoo tablet (aka CrunchPad) will be shipping at the end of February. We have just received an email from the manufacturer representative stating that “due to a manufacturing delay, the company is now forecasting that JooJoo will be sent to consumers on March 25“. The device equipped with a 12.1″ inch capacitive display has already been available for pre-order for $499, which places […]
12/06/2009, It looks like things are going to get uglier between TechCrunch and Fusion Garage. If you’ve been following the recent events, you’ll know that the folks at TechCrunch are certainly seething mad, and now it looks like litigation will be following shortly. Check out what TechCrunch has to say about this issue, and the folks over at Engadget have dug up some related letters.
12/04/2009, While a lot of netizens are sad for with regards to the CrunchPad drama, but it seems that Fusion Garage chief, Chandrasekar Rathakrishnan, wants to come out and give their side of the story. He will be holding a set of events to demonstrate the tablet and explain the company’s side of this legal dispute. In the end, despite who is right or wrong, it would be great is the […]
11/30/2009, If you’ve been eagerly waiting for the Crunchpad to be launched, you’re going to be disappointed at the news that the final version of the Crunchpad may never see the light of day. Apparently Fusion Garage, the company that TechCrunch teamed up with to build the CrunchPad reneged on their deal and are planning to sell the tablet directly. Of course, we haven’t heard both sides of the story yet, […]
