Forget fingerprints with the PalmSecure

CES 2007 - If you thought that biometric security that uses fingerprints were great, wait till you check out the PalmSecure device from Fujitsu. This unique piece of technology uses palm vein authentication in lieu of your fingerprints, offering a security solution that is much harder to forge. All you need to do before accessing your PC is to place your palm above the device. Since vein patterns are also unique to the individual just like how fingerprints are, a special algorithm template will then determine whether you are eligible to login or not. This is definitely a non-invasive and hygienic method of authentication, putting the fears of those suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to rest. Just make sure you up the premium of your palm in your insurance policy before picking one up. The PalmSecure is hot from Fujitsu's oven just for CES and retails for $750 a pop.
