Nokia N800 Internet Tablet

CES 2007 - The Nokia N800 Tablet was announced at the show, so I had to play with it. Here are the highlights:

It is slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the N770 but still has a 800x480 resolution, which enables a desktop web browsing experience (powered by Opera 8), which was the original goal. There is a rotating webcam that pops on the left side. It’s the most noticeable addition and a very cool one, I have to admit. The other cool physical difference is the presence of two expansion slots (versus one in the 770): a SD/Micro SD, Mini SD and MMC/RS-MMC. Both can be used simultaneously to increase the storage capacity.

I guess that the user experience would be very similar to the N770 that we previously reviewed.

Has anyone had any particular difficulties using the N800 on a network that specifies WPA with PEAP using TKIP? If so, did you overcome it (and how)?

Would it connect with a bluetooth gps module? Is there any navigation software available for this Internet Tablet OS 2007 (is it some kind of Linux?). If yeas, would applications for any other Linux system run on this one?

In the user guide on the Nokia site:

High security (Wi-Fi protected access WPA
authentication, including WPA1 and WPA2)

Any personal experience with WPA2 PSK would be worth hearing...

Cheers

"Wireless-b/g" is all we have from Nokia and all the reviews I've seen. Can it handle WPA and WPA2 (TKIP/AES and PSK)?

"WLAN 802.11 b/g" is about as useful as "Car: has a liquid fuel engine" ;-)

Hoping someone releases a bluetooth keyboard for it soon too :-)

Nokia N800 available from CompUSA store (Boulder, CO) for $399. Got one on the weekend! Looking for a good case solution, since there is no slide-off hard cover like the N770.
