Tamagotchi idea goes 3D
Feb 16, 07 10:34 AM PDT

Remember the Tamagotchi craze the swept the world over a decade ago with 2D sprites and huge pixels? Imagine what the same idea, repackaged in full 3D glory could do. Frepar Networks will be releasing a new device this year which is capable of projecting a 3D character hologram of your choice onto a platform, enabling you to communicate with it. A CODEC Cell cartridge is used to store your character information, where you then interact with him/her in stereoscopic 3D glory without the need for any special glasses. Interactivity is not only limited to speech but physical motions as well, including touching. All I can see are dollar signs everywhere as gaming takes a more general approach to appeal to the broader demographic.
