Transparent plastic battery in the works
Check out the clear flexible plastic that you see on the right - it is actually a polymer-based rechargeable battery developed by Japanese scientists. This unique battery comes with a high charge/discharge capacity despite its miniscule size, offering an extremely high power rate performance. It requires just a single minute to fully charge the battery, and with a long cycle life that often exceeds 1,000 cycles, I can forsee a commercial solution based on this battery be a huge success. Of course, battery manufacturers might be equally averse to this idea since it means selling less batteries to the consumer, reducing overall profits which will affect their year-end bonus. What do you guys think?

There is no way we can allow this technology to become used for anything besides cellphones. Imagine using this stuff as wallpaper that powers your tv for a month. A mere 3000 dollars of this stuff, and you won't need an oil furnace to heat your house. This stuff should be made illegal now.
