Alkaline battery regenerator
Want to help keep the earth green? You can now do so with the Alkaline Battery Regenerator. While this device is not meant to be used as a battery charger, it allows you to reuse disposable batteries, giving the standard alkaline battery another 100 rounds of use before being disposed off properly. The Alkaline Battery Regenerator works with both AA and AAA batteries, regenerating up to four batteries simultaneously. Built-in protection against overcharging, overheating, short-circuiting and polarity reversal helps you maintain your house fire insurance without increasing the premium. At £14.99, it sounds like a pretty good deal to me and for Mother Nature.

ha, i just saw this on g4 as well. I've looked into those usb batteries and they are pretty nifty, but this could save so much more money, and it keeps earth green.

I wonder if the recycled alkaline batteries have similar or same characteristics as new ones. Or is it gonna be like the Rechargeable battery syndrome ...
Too little juice for too many devices....
