Looks like we now have more information on the TiVo Series 3 Lite DVR, enabling users to record high definition images along with TiVo’s unbelievably simple user interface at a pocket-friendly price. It will probably retail in the region of $299 and features both MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 decoders and a 160GB hard drive (bummer), minus the OLED display and a lack of THX certification that came with the pricier Series 3. The 160GB hard drive can store up to 180 hours of standard definition video, but if you’re more keen on high definition, that amounts to just 20 hours. Still, at such an attractive price point, chances are no one will complain.
