Looks like the world of High Definition is well and truly washing its wave over us as Sony releases the GV-HD700 HD Walkman. Sporting a form factor that resembles a portable DVD player, this clamshell design comes with a 7" widescreen LCD display on top while the bottom half of the console boasts all the control buttons as well as a Memory Stick Duo slot for expansion options. You will be able to watch your favorite HD videos (1080i) and DV tapes no matter where yo uare with the GV-HD700, but before that is made possible, be prepared to fork out $1,300 when it is released next month. Connectivity options on the GV-HD700 are aplenty - ranging from HDMI to i.LINK, and USB. Playback zoom, 12-Bit/16-Bit PCM digital stereo, and Crystal Clear Still/Slow motion playback rounds off the list of features.
