Remotes that find each other
Sep 7, 07 03:18 AM PDT

Having remotes that can detect your personal items aren't exactly new - but have you ever wondered what happens when you lose the remote itself? GE has this brilliant idea of overcoming this problem, introducing a couple of remotes that are capable of finding up to five items which you have already designated as "lost item locator units". The first of the two is a universal remote that functions with your TV and DVD player, while the other is a keychain. What makes this setup special is the fact that either remote can find each other. The only problem is not losing both at the same time - who's going to change the TV channel then? After all, getting up from your lazy chair to do so is a fate worse than death itself.
