World´s largest and thinnest E-Paper
Posted on Oct 22, 07 02:49 PM PDT

Previous color electronic paper (E-Paper) displays that we published about from Fujitsu measured a few inches big, that’s why Bridgestone’s A3-sized (435x326mm) color E-paper is so interesting. The thickness is even more incredible: a mere 0.29mm! I personally think that A4 (like this one) is “good enough” for electronic magazines, now some works needs to be done to increase the density from 80 dot-per-inch (dpi), the equivalent of most computer displays, to 150dpi or more. Of course, 4096 colors is far from being enough but hopefully, we’ll hit 65536, then 16.7M in the near future.

Isn't typical screen resolution 72dpi?
