Sentio Digital Tactile Watch
Posted on May 28, 08 09:39 AM PDT

The Sentio digital tactile watch caters specially for the visually impaired, featuring a 7-segment display that can be found on standard digital alarm clocks as well as watches. It doesn't use LEDs to convey the current time though as that wouldn't make much sense to the target demographic, hence relying on a tactile display instead. Each segment will rise up by 1mm above the watch face, allowing blind users to read the time simply by touching the face ala Braille watches. You will be able to choose from either hours or minutes displays, along with a bunch of colors to suit your taste. Kudos to Matthew Wagerfield for thinking of such a timely (no pun intended) device to help the visually impaired.
