Voodoo Envy 133 Super-Thin Laptop
Jun 10, 08 01:00 AM PDT

This is probably the most interesting laptop from HP/Voodoo at this event: the Voodoo Envy 133 is a nicely designed laptop (only 0.7”, custom paint) that has an interesting solution to use traditionally wired devices. The (external) optical drive, (wired) Ethernet and the HDMI-VGA adapter are based on ID-coordinated wireless.
Other than that, it packs a fast CPU, an SDD drive (I suspect that a normal HDD can also be installed), weighs about 3.4lbs (more than it looks) and has an instant-on OS (probably linux-based) that can boot in a snap to let you access the web and other basic applications. I like it already.
Highlights:- 133 stands for 13.3” display
- 0.7” thick
- Carbon Fiber casing
- WiFi N (100+ Mbps)
- Starts at $2099
Of course, you can also check out our live Envy 133 photo gallery or watch the video in the full post. Video courtesy of notebooks.com.

Carbon fiber can cause cancer in the same way that asbestos can cause cancer - if it's free in the air and you breathe it in. CF guy is correct in saying it's not a concern because the fibers themselves are contained in epoxy.

Carbon fiber in the Envy is prepregated in epoxy and therefore would not be exposed directly nor act as a cancerous agent

What the hell kind of comment is that? "after new that carbon fiber can cause cancer??"
after new what?? did you "hear" that carbon fiber can cause cancer? Is "eating" carbon fiber cancer causing? What is the point of trying to say whatever you were saying?
Just as much of a point as me replying.
I for one just hope that there is an option to keep the carbon fiber look and not paint over it. That would look sharp.
