DS Lite And Canon DSLR Play Nice

This has got to be one of the weirder hardware hacks in recent memory – Steve from Panocamera.com managed to build a custom interface from his Canon DSLR that is viewed over the Nintendo DS Lite, where the latter is able to perform HDR intervalometer-based shot bracketing, remote shots in bulb mode, as well as a sound-based “Clapper” control (which uses the DS Lite’s microphone, obviously). The DS Lite seems to have the necessary firepower to perform the calculations require to shoot all manner of shots, and also works great as a portable gaming device with its vast library of quality games. According to Steve, he’s working on more of the same and putting them up on sale.
