Wearable Airbags For Old People
Posted on Sep 25, 08 10:29 AM PDT

Many old folks do not die of old age naturally, but more often than not from a fall-related injury. Hence, Japanese manufacturer Prop has started to sell wearable airbags for this segment of the population as well as for other people who cannot stand up for too long by themselves without any aid. The personal, wearably airbag weighs 2.4 pounds and is able to spring into action within 1/10 of a second whenever the built-in sensors detect that you're about to hit the ground. Too bad the $1,400 price point will put plenty of people off, making them rely on grace from the Almighty instead.
