Double Pane LCD Display Concept

Designer Mac Funamizu, the same guy who is keeping his fingers crossed that the Mac mini will not die, has also released a double pane LCD display concept that sees dual layered LCDs to create a sense of depth whenever you overlay graphics. This is a much cheaper alternative compared to those 3D emulating displays, although it might not be as realistic. Hopefully this concept will see action in future devices by showing off interactive maps on cell phones and GPS navigation systems. Any hardware manufacturers adopting his idea?
