Asus EzLink LCD Monitor
Posted on Mar 9, 09 12:13 AM PDT

Asus took advantage of the recently concluded CeBIT expo in Germany by introducing a new line of energy-efficient LCD monitors as well as their EzLink series - the first wireless monitor from the Taiwanese company. Of course, this will require users to hook up their displays using a Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) or Wireless USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA), and apparently there isn't any noticeable degradation of quality compared to conventional wired displays. Both the VH192C and VH196 are energy-efficient models that have the interests of our environment in mind, as it was manufactured using low levels of mercury and a mere couple of lamps, helping one achieve a power savings of over 20%. No idea on pricing or availability of these monitors as at press time though.
