Sharp has a heart for the environment by developing a new line-up of ten LED-based outdoor lighting products, where four of them are solar-powered LED lights which merge solar panels with high-intensity, long-life LEDs that offer industry-leading brightness. It would be nice to see Sharp export such products to the rest of the world as we could really make more use of abundant solar power in an effort to help conserve energy so that less coal needs to be burnts and less forests cleared in order to make way for hydroelectric dams. We sure wish our local municipal council could hook up with Sharp and come to an agreement on replacing ancient lamp posts with solar-powered ones.
