Nintendo 3DS To Support Digital Newspapers And Magazines?

While reading newspapers and magazines probably won’t be the first thing you think of when presented with Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS handheld console, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has commented that the company is looking at ways to automatically beam newspaper and magazine articles to a 3DS handheld. Since the 3DS is fully capable of receiving data while in sleep mode, the idea is that it’ll be able to automatically connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, and download the material. Of course, the issue is still the fact that the Nintendo 3DS has a relatively small screen and poor resolution, when compared to dedicated eBook readers in the market. That being said, if it’s a useful additional feature, folks who are looking to purchase the 3DS when it’s released probably won’t complain about it.
