Avanti Electra
via Treehugger

Avanti, purveyors of fine bicycles have released the Avanti Electra – where pedal power is replaced by electrical power at the flick of a switch. The Electra’s specially designed lightweight motor delivers power that adjusts itself to the rider’s style. A comfortable, enjoyable ride is assured with the lightweight alloy frame working in tandem with the specially tuned suspension fork and seat. The electric motor is able to provide up to 40km of continuous assistance irregardless of terrain. Its battery recharges while you ride, and the handle bar’s computer is mounted in a position where speed, battery life, and distance can be monitored easily.

Unassisted speeds of up to 25km/h and pedalling speeds of up to 30km/h can be achieved with the motor running at the maximum legal limit of 200W. Fantastic for those who fancy an attempt uphill but lack the leg power to pull the over the top. (specs below)
