Motorola RIZR Z3 to get WiFi

It certainly took a long time, but Motorola has finally unveiled its first handset that will come with WiFi connectivity. This enhanced Z3 will share the same 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and microSD memory card slot, but the addition of WiFi lets you update the phone’s software directly over the Internet. The previous Synergy interface from Motorola has also been ditched in favor of the Linux-based JUIX interface that certainly goes a long way in networking over local wireless and EDGE. The RIZR Z3 still remains unlocked at the moment, but it could be part of T-Mobile’s Hotspot@Home plan in the future. Release date and pricing details are currently unavailable, although it could be unveiled early next year.
