ReplayTV has a new Personal HD device that shares the same Hauppauge HVR-950 NTSC/ASTC USB tuner as found in the Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro and ATI TV Wonder 600 USB. What sets the Personal HD apart then? Well, the software contained plays a very crucial role here as ReplayTV claims they have the best DVR software in town so that you’ll end up subscribing to their PC Electronic Show Guide by coughing up a $20 annual fee as without the EPG, this tuner is virtually useless. In addition, you’ll get Smart Channel and Search, and multiple channel recording that requires a second or a third tuner dongle of the previously mentioned products. The ReplayTV Personal HD device retails for $99.
