[PMA 2008] Fuji has worked hard to make the S1000fd the smallest camera with a 12x optical zoom. I’m not sure if this claim is accurate, but for now I’ll take their word for it. Having more optical zoom is a feature that everybody likes, especially when you arrive late in the press event and sit at the back. Back to the subject: 12x is not bad at all. Automatic red-eye corrections and AA batteries are also in my list of practical things.
