Asus to launch new LCD Monitors

Asus has in line a couple of new LCD monitors – the VW223B and VW202B that will feature EzLink connection technology. The former is a 22″ widescreen while the latter will feature 20.1″ of viewing area, and with EzLink, users can hook up to half of such monitors to a PC or notebook with a single USB 2.0 interface without the need to purchase additional graphics cards. Both monitors also feature a maximum resolution of 1,680 x 1,050. You will need to install an EzLink driver on the PC before making use of this technology though. Other similar features include :-

• 300cd/m2 brightness
• 1,000:1 contrast ratio
• 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
• 5 ms response time

There is no word on pricing or availablility, but the VW223B goes one up on the VW202B with its integrated 3-port USB hub.
