JVC aims for another “world’s first” record with their new LCD TV, achieving the thinnest LCD TV in the world with integrated tuners. Not only are they much sliimer than usual (hence taking up less space in your living room), they are also greener, consuming less power compared to traditional LCD TVs. This new JVC offering has a maximum depth of a mere 74mm at the panel’s center, while the majority of the display is no thicker than 40mm. It will come in 42″ and 46″ models, with both sharing the same 1,920 x 1,080 resolution for Full HD goodness. Despite its size, it tips the scales at just 12kg – now is that light or what?
