Lexibook of France has released its Lexibook Laptop that has been described as “My first computer” – guess this means it is a kid-friendly laptop. This is confirmed by its sun orange color and slightly rugged case (you don’t know just how rough kids can get), and it will feature the following :-
- Samsung 400MHz processor
- 64MB RAM
- 2GB SSD
- 8″ display at 800 x 400 resolution
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- Ethernet connectivity
- SD memory card reader
- Windows CE 5.0 operating system
The battery life will last much longer compared to your kid’s attention span at 3 hours, but the 299 Euros asking price sounds rather steep compared to a much better equipped netbook at that price range.
