Sony VAIO G3 Released In Japan

Sony Japan has just announced its VAIO G3 for the G Series, making available yet another ultra portable notebook for business professionals who are always on the go. The body weighs a mere 898 grams, but that does not mean it is a slouch where battery life is concerned – the VAIO G3 is able to last for up to 13 hours according to Sony, and runs smoothly with the following specifications :-

  • Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300/SU9400 processor
  • 12.1″ XGA (1,024 × 768) widescreen LCD
  • 1GB RAM
  • 160GB HDD
  • Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics
  • 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth connectivity
  • Windows Vista Business

The VAIO G3 also boasts a water-resistant keyboard (good for up to 200cc of water, no mention of other fluids like Coke or Mountain Dew) and Intel vPro Technology. It will be out in Japan from February 7th onwards, with prices starting from $1,960.
