Tmsuk T34 Security Robot Captures Intruders With a Net

When you hear the words security and robots, you might think about surveillance robots, armed with a webcam (an infra-red one, when they are fancy). The T34 can do better than that and throw a net at the intruder. We’re not sure how efficient this prototype is yet (see the video in the full post), but the demonstration has us only 20% convinced of its ability to stop an intruder. Tmusk still has about two years to refine it before it becomes a commercial product. May be a swarm of T-34 would make it a lot harder for burglars to get away ($9000 each).
