Casio isn’t exactly the first name one would think of where cell phones are concerned, but that doesn’t mean they’re pushovers in this department. There will be a new 5 megapixel shooter from Casio known as the Exilim C721, taking on the namesake of Casio’s line of dedicated digital cameras. This will come with autofocus capability and a high resolution WVGA rotating display that makes it more natural to capture images without realizing you’re using a phone instead of an actual digital camera. Granted, the image quality and features won’t be as good or comprehensive as that of a standalone digital camera, but it sure as heck beats those 2 megapixel shooters out there.
