Gateway has decided not to reinvent the wheel after seeing success last summer with their MC and MD series of notebooks, and will now hope to repeat such success with its 14″ TC series that start from $649.99 upwards depending on the configuration. You will get the following in the TC series :-
- 14″ 1,366 × 768 resolution display
- 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen
- 4GB RAM
- Intel Pentium T4200 2GHz processor
- Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M chipset
- 320GB hard drive
- 8x DVD-RW/RAM drive
You can choose from burgundy and black colors, and the two models on offer are the TC7306u and the TC7307u. They share similar specifications, being powered by Windows Vista Home Premium and running on a 6-cell Lithium Ion battery. Folks who want Blu-ray can fork out more dough to replace the DVD drive.
