HTC Devices Might Be Banned In Germany?

HTC might have run into a spot of bother over in Germany, as reports are surfacing that they have lost a patent violation suit to IPCom GmbH who claims that HTC has to pay license fees for some UMTS patents that are used in its Windows Mobile and Android handsets. A German court has confirmed that HTC infringed on the “100 series” patents, which were reportedly bought by OPCom from Robert Bosch GmbH back in 2006. If HTC doesn’t come to an agreement with IPCom GmbH, they might just be forced to stop selling UMTS smartphones in Germany, which includes the T-Mobile G1 and HTC Magic. From Uberphones.
