CP Technologies just announced this 3G wireless router that be used to share a 3G connection thanks to its Cardbus slot on the side. Obviously you will need a compatible 3G device and data plan. We’ve tried something like this in the past and it works fairly well. Note that it can also be used as a “normal” router, which is handy in hotel rooms. When digging into our drawers we found it that the LevelOne MobileSpot looks exactly like our Airlink AR360W3G. Now, levelOne calls this “mobile”, but we call it “transportable” as you still need electricity from an electric outlet. If you want a really portable 3G Hotspot, check MiFi out.
