Hitachi Wooo 720p Mobile Phone In The Wild

Despite what KDDI says, we think that the Samsung OMNIA HD was the first phone to shoot 720p videos, but look at the camcorder-esque design of the Wooo! In fact, we’ve shown it to you on Jan 29, but here is a live photo, shot in Japan by Akihabaranews(video on that page). They think that the video recording is impressive (for a cellphone), but warn that the 3GPP2 video encoding doesn’t play well with fast motion. The storage is done on a 8GB micro-SD and the phone connects to a TV directly via HDMI if you want to see the playback on a big screen. Note that there’s an integrated 1Seg TV Tuner as well…
