It’s a combination of a charger and battery pack, so you can charge your USB-powered device from it when it’s plugged into the wall, at the same time, it’s also charging its internal battery. When taken out, it’ll function as a spare external battery for you to charge your device on the go. The XT should offer you an additional 4.5 hours of talk time, and the DUO will offer an additional 6 hours.
