Rumor: KT Trying To Get A WiBro Version Of The iPad For South Korea

This is still very much a rumor, but word is going around that KT, the sole distributor of Apple’s iPhone in Korea, is in talks with Apple to introduce a version of its popular iPad with WiBro over there. In case you’re wondering, WiBro is the Korean version of WiMAX. Also part of the talks was discussions for the normal Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G version of the iPad, since South Korea is currently missing from the list of countries that offer the iPad at the moment. It seems highly unlikely that Apple would consent to coming up with a WiBro version of the iPad just for South Korea, but we’re sure that SK is talking about it. The question is: Is Apple listening to it?
