Dell Inspiron R Introduced

The back-to-school PC refresh cycle starts now with the introduction of the Dell Inspiron R series, which is aimed at consumers. The Inspiron R series comes in several sizes: 14″ 15″ and 17″. From the outside, they look very much like prior Dell laptops, although with a few tweaks: the back panel is brightly colored, and the palm rest area is made of a plastic that seems very resistant to scratches, and to smudges according to dell. Inside, you will find Intel’s latest Core i3 and Core i5 processors, up to 8GB of memory, up to 1GB of graphics memory and up to 640GB of storage. The icing on the cake is the (optional) Wireless Display connection to HDTVs. The Inspiron R comes in Mars Black, Peacock Blue, Tomato Red and Lotus Pink and pricing starts at $449.
