Mozilla Releases Feature-complete Firefox 4 Beta 7

Folks who are looking forward to the next version of Firefox, namely Firefox 4, should be pretty happy to hear that Mozilla has released the seventh beta version of the browser with the notable addition of the JägerMonkey just-in-time (JIT) JavaScript compiler and expanded support for hardware accelerated graphics on OS X and Windows XP. The JägerMonkey is credited with boosting overall performance, with the latest beta touted as being three times faster than Firefox 3.6 on the Kraken and Sunspider benchmarks along with significant improvements on the v8 Benchmark. Developers should also note that the plug-in API support is now considered stable so developers can begin finalizing their plug-ins for the final version of Firefox 4, slated to arrive in 2011.
