We already know that Toshiba will be offering the solar-powered Biblio Leaf eBook reader over in Japan and now KDDI has announced that it will begin to offer the Lismo Book Store eBook delivery service from Christmas day. The Lismo Book Store will offer an eBook delivery service in collaboration with booklista, a joint venture of KDDI, Sony Corp, Toppan Printing Co Ltd and Asashi Shimbun Company. The deal offers almost the same contents as Sony’s Reader Store, which also sells contents from booklista. At launch, about 20,000 books will be available at the Lismo Book Store and KDDI is planning to increase the number to about 100,000 within fiscal 2011.
